Dodge Charger: FUEL REQUIREMENTS / Reformulated Gasoline. Materials Added To Fuel
Reformulated Gasoline
Many areas of the country require the use of cleaner burning gasoline referred
to as “reformulated gasoline”. Reformulated gasoline contains oxygenates and are
specifically blended to reduce vehicle emissions and improve air quality.
The use of reformulated gasoline is recommended. Properly blended reformulated
gasoline will provide improved performance and durability of engine and fuel system
components.
Materials Added To Fuel
Besides using unleaded gasoline with the proper octane rating, gasolines that
contain detergents, corrosion and stability additives are recommended. Using gasolines
that have these additives will help improve fuel economy, reduce emissions, and
maintain vehicle performance.
Designated TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline
contains a higher level of detergents to further aide in minimizing engine and fuel
system deposits. When available, the usage of TOP TIER Detergent gasoline is recommended.
Visit www.toptiergas.com for a list of TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline Retailers.
Indiscriminate use of fuel system cleaning agents should be avoided. Many of
these materials intended for gum and varnish removal may contain active solvents
or similar ingredients. These can harm fuel system gasket and diaphragm materials.
3.6L Engine
This engine is designed to meet
all emissions regulations and provide excellent fuel economy and performance when
using high-quality unleaded “regular” gasoline having an octane rating of 87 as
specified by the (R+M)/ 2 method...
Some fuel suppliers blend unleaded gasoline with oxygenates such as ethanol.
CAUTION!
DO NOT use E-85, gasoline containing methanol, or gasoline containing more
than 15% ethanol (E-15)...

Children who are large enough to wear the shoulder belt comfortably, and whose
legs are long enough to bend over the front of the seat when their back is against
the seatback, should use the seat belt in a rear seat. Use this simple 5-step test
to decide whether the child can use the vehicle’s seat belt alone:
Can the child sit all the way back against the back of the vehicle seat?
Do the child’s knees bend comfortably over the front of the vehicle seat
– while the child is still sitting all the way back?
Does the shoulder belt cross the child’s shoulder between the neck and arm?
Is the lap part of the belt as low as possible, touching the child’s thighs
and not the stomach?
Can the child stay seated like this for the whole trip?
If the answer to any of these questions was “no,” then the child still needs
to use a booster seat in this vehicle...
Bi-Level Mode
Air comes from the instrument panel
outlets and floor outlets. A slight amount of air is directed through the defrost
and side window demister outlets.
NOTE:
Bi-Level mode is designed under comfort condi- tions to provide cooler air out
of the panel outlets and warmer air from the floor outlets...
